Cinnamon Apple Wine Cake

Tanorria teamed up with Alyssa Raymond of WTHR to celebrate National Apple Month and National Dessert Day! After doing some research we learned that chardonnay pairs perfectly with apples, so we thought this was a great time to introduce a fall recipe for Treats by Tanorria Vanilla Chardonnay wine cake!

Not only is this recipe incredibly easy, it also only requires 2 additional ingredients! Apples and Cinnamon are the only “extra” things you need to make this phenomenal cake!

Impress your friends and family at your next gathering, make this for your Thanksgiving table. Place it on a beautiful cake pedestal and it is sure to be a show stopper. Bundle up a bag of wine cake mix, a bottle of chardonnay, a small bottle of cinnamon and a few apples. Put it in a super cute bag or pouch and tie the bag with some ribbon and a few cinnamon sticks! It’s the perfect fall gift!


Cinnamon Apple Wine Cake

Cinnamon Apple Cake
1 Package Treats by Tanorria Vanilla Chardonnay Cake Mix (follow package instructions) 
3 Eggs 
1 Cup Chardonnay
½ Cup Vegetable Oil
1 Tbsp cinnamon
2 Apples, peeled and chopped
Cinnamon Glaze
1 Package Frosting Mix (included with  Vanilla Chardonnay Cake Mix) 
2 Cups powdered sugar
½ Cup unsalted butter, softened
½ Cup Chardonnay
1/3 cup Chardonnay (or Apple Cider if you don’t want a boozy cake)
1 tsp cinnamon

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Prepare cake according to package instructions. Once batter has been mixed, add cinnamon and apples and stir until apples are incorporated throughout the batter.

Pour cake batter into a prepared bundt pan. Bake cake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean after being inserted into cake.

While the cake is baking, prepare glaze. Combine all ingredients until smooth. Add more powdered sugar or more wine if glaze (or apple cider) if not set to desired consistency. Set aside.

Remove cake from oven and wait 10 minutes. Invert cake onto cooling rack or cake pedestal and let cool for at least 1 full hour.

Glaze cake with cinnamon chardonnay glaze.
